Chat With Us: Notes on Use
Click on the first icon (far left) to connect. A popup menu will appear. In
there you enter the nickname you want to use, and for Room, enter
#Crosswinds.
To leave the chat room, please click the Disconnect icon in the top left
corner. Otherwise your connection is still active and you will stay in the
room.
You can use the Dock/Undock icon to keep the applet open if you want to
browse other web pages while staying in the chat room.
To send your text to the room, enter it in the text area and hit Enter or
click the Say button.
To send a private message to someone, highlight their nickname, enter your
text in the text area and click the Whisper button.
To send text that looks like "Nickname thinks: your message here", enter
your text in the text area and click the Think button.
To use the IRC equivilant of the /me command, enter your text in the text
area and click the Action button.
