Started by brothers Tony and Scott in 1997 as a free service, Crosswinds immediately grew to well over 1 million accounts in a very short time. When the online community and hosting needs changed around us, we were among the last to still offer free services, finally moving to a fully professional hosting service in 2005, outlasting giants in free hosting like GeoCities and many more. Due to our personal connection to our membership, many elected to remain with us and are still with us to this day.
Located in Canada, we are not a remote, out-sourced corporation that cares about only money and numbers. Crosswinds does not advertise; our brand and company is built on personal recommendations and word of mouth. We have always been a small but mighty host that prides itself on personal service. To that end, we don’t offer 24/7 support, but you will find that we are still very quick to respond, and we do offer personalized help from employees and an amazing group of volunteers that has grown with us for well over 20 years.
